The History of WBT
More than 80 years ago, Fred Laxton, Earle Gluck, and Fred Bunker met in an amateur radio supply store in Charlotte, and decided to set up a radio station. Their station would become WBT...the first commercial radio station in the Southeast. Take a tour of our distinguished history starting in the 1920's, or jump to another decade using the links below.
