Panthers Special Teams coach Brian Murphy was fired. Coach Ron Rivera cited philosophical differences & productivity for the move.

Murphy will be repaced by assistant special teams coach Richard Rogers, who was a college teammate of Coach Rivera.

Denver returned a punt for a TD in Sunday's win over the Panthers.  Here comes irony...

The NFL admitted that replay officials made a mistake in awarding Denver's Trindon Holliday a TD on his punt return.

Holliday actually flipped the ball away at the 1-yard line, which would have resulted in a touchback for the Panthers...oops, guess we're even for the DeAngelo Williams TD at Washington now.
