Breaking news, as in a broken foot.  And it belongs to Panthers 3-time All-Pro center Ryan Kalil.  He suffered a foot injury in the first half of the loss to Seattle, then played the entire second half on it. 

So much for the bye week being a time to heal up injuries and gear up for the next 11 games.  However, guard Geoff Hangartner is expected back for the contest versus Dallas after missing the Seahawks game.  He is the likely candidate to slide over and play center with Jeff Byers the only other option on the roster.

Kalil set the goal of winning the Super Bowl this year, but his injury coming after a (1-4) start is making that a more difficult challenge by the day.
