Panthers' Steve Smith unhurt in pre-game accident

Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith was involved in a minor car accident prior to Thursday night's game at Bank of America Stadium against the Miami Dolphins. He was not injured.
Panthers' Receivers' Coach Richard Williamson told WBT News that Smith had been involved in what was termed a "fender bender" in Charlotte's Myers Park area as he was headed to the stadium.
Because Smith and the other driver had to wait for Charlotte Mecklenburg Police to arrive, Smith was unable to arrive at the stadium in time for pre-game warmups.
No other information about the accident was immediately available. There was no indication that the driver of the other vehicle was injured either.
