I'll never forget going to a mentor of mine who was very successful and asking him for the key to his success. He sat me down, looked me in the eye and asked, "You really want to know the key to my success?" "Yes, please," I enthusiastically responded.
"Well, here it is," he finally responded. He paused a little longer for effect, then finally said: "It's hard work."
Hard work! What a novel thought for a reason for success. Then he went on to say that if you work half-heartedly at a job, don't be surprised when you get half-hearted results!
That makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? We get back what we put into something. If we do it with all our hearts, often the results are overwhelmingly good. If it's only with a half of a heart, that's probably what we'll receive.
It's probably a good idea today to work with all our hearts. It's has always been the best way to get the best results. It still is!
