Charlotte Center City Partners launches a new iPhone and Android App, iPad App launching by September 1
Charlotte – August 30, 2012 Charlotte Center City Partners has launched a new iPhone and Android App to help you navigate Uptown and South End during the Democratic National Convention and beyond. This App was developed in partnership with CGR Charlotte, a web design firm in Historic South End.
The App has PointNGo technology, Real Time Parking and the FYC Calendar of Events.
The PointNGo augmented reality feature allows you to point your App-enabled device at your street level location and let the App tell you how to navigate to your desired location. For instance, if you are at the Square, touch the augmented reality feature, touch the location your desire to reach and a map will pop up telling you how to get there.
This App is currently available for iPhones an Androids only, but the version for iPads will be released before the end of the weekend. This new App will be a valuable tool during the DNC, but will be just as valuable for residents, workers and visitors beyond the week of the convention.
