DNCC to Unveil Podium and Stage at Community Open House

CHARLOTTE – The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) will hold a community open house at the Time Warner Cable Arena on Friday, August 31, welcoming Charlotte-area residents and school children to be among the first to get a long-awaited glimpse of the innovative podium and stage that will be used during the first two days of convention proceedings – Tuesday, September 4 and Wednesday, September 5.

Charlotteans attending the community open house will see the stage before thousands of delegates and other special guests arrive in the host city. This event marks the end of months of planning and weeks of construction to transform the sports arena into a state-of-the-art convention hall.
