Three suspects are in custody after a high speed chase crossed the state line and went from south Charlotte all the way to Richburg, South Carolina, 40 miles away.

It all started when police spotted a vehicle with a stolen tag and led to the chase that reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

Stephanie Roberts, who lives in Richburg, described the chase that ended in her front yard. She told WBTV the car went down their road before anything ever happened. She said her son was standing outside as the chase went by and was traveling about 100 mile per hour up the road.

During the chase, the suspect car became aggressive on I -77, plowing into two other vehicles and finally skidding off the road.

Roberts stated they sat in the front and, about thirty minutes later, police came walking out with one of the suspects in handcuffs.

All three suspects involved were apprehended. No word as to what charges might be pending against the three.
